When I feel strong emotions, I have glowing colours and shapes that I feel in my body and that appear in my minds eye and sometimes in my field of vision, involuntarily. These experiences give me a deep connection with colours. I aim to harness the energy and emotion these moments possess and spill them onto the canvas. Sometimes I use harsh gritty marks, other times soft feathery brushstrokes, depending on the emotion. This empowers me to acknowledge and face the difficult times and allows me to soak up the joyous moments. Forever exploring these subjects, gaining understanding and sharing what I find in my work.
